POULTNEY, Vermont - Husson remained perfect in its inaugural season following an 8-1 North Eastern Athletic Conference East (NEAC East) win over Green Mountain (Vt.) on Saturday at Vermont Sports and Fitness Club.
Husson (5-0, 4-0 NEAC East) remains atop the league standings after winning five of six singles matches.Katie Pratt defeated Alex Reedy 4-6, 6-3 and 14-12 in No. 1 singles. Charlotte Bednarz dropped Jada Lee 6-1 and 6-2. Elizabeth Adley dispatched Helen Yao on the three-line 6-1 and 6-1. Samantha Dubay defeated Salima Mahamoudou in No. 4 singles 6-1 and 6-0. Alaina Dyer took care of Nang Hseng Leng Wann on the six-line 6-0 and 6-1.
Casiana Arroyo defeated Emma Fontaine 6-4 and 6-2 in No. 5 singles for the lone win on the day by a Green Mountain (0-6, 0-4 NEAC East) player.
Pratt and reigning NEAC East Rookie of the Week Meridith Blessard defeated Reedy and Mahamoudou 8-1 in No. 1 doubles. Bednarz and Dubay dropped Lee and Yao on the two-line 8-1. Adley and Kelsey Pelletier took care of Arroyo and Ruby Santiago 8-1.
Husson travels to Castleton (Vt.) on Sunday. First serve is set for 11 a.m. ET.
