How It Happened
- Cheng and Likhanskaia were phenomenal, dropping just three games in their first four matches in advancing to the title match.
- Their victories including a pair of 8-0 shutouts, including against Bowdoin teammates Pilar Giffenig and Sarah Shadowens in the semifinals on Saturday
- Their run came to an end in the finals where they were defeated 8-4 by Wesleyan's top doubles pairing of Yu/Chong.
- Giffenig and Shadowens came into the tournament unseeded and made a fantastic run to the semifinals, defeating duos from Wellesley, Amherst and Middlebury.
- Tess Trinka had the top performance for Bowdoin in the singles bracket, winning three matches to reach the quarterfinals
- The Polar Bears are off until Homecoming, when they will host the three-day Bowdoin Invitational at Pickard Tennis Courts
