SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- University of New England women's soccer players Jessica Meader and Brielle Robinson
have been selected as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive
Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, for
the period ending September 27.
Meader factored in three of the team's four goals during the week, including assisting Becca Murphy
for the only two markers in a road win over Bates. She then scored the
opening goal in a CCC match at Salve Regina, and the Nor'easters never
relinquished the advantage.
Robinson turned in 10 saves (one shy
of a career-best) to shutout the Bobcats, and surrendered just a penalty
kick goal with seven stops in the win over the Seahawks.
