Men’s cross country wins behind Kibet

BRUNSWICK, Maine — The 24th-ranked Colby College men’s cross country team, with the top eight runners resting, won the 8,000-meter event at the Bowdoin College Invitational on Saturday.

The Mules had a score of 24 to hold off Bowdoin College (37) and University of Southern Maine (59) in the 10-team field.
 
Benard Kibet had a time of 26:19.9 in finishing second in front of teammate Noel Feeney (26:27.3). Reeve Maddux took fourth place in 26:27.5 and Tom O’Donnell (26.27.7) was fifth. Andrew Estrada had a top-10 finish by placing 10th for the Mules.
