(THOMASTON) Trekkers, an outdoor-based youth mentoring program, recently received a $500 donation from members of the St. George Alumni Association. This generous gift was presented to Trekkers Executive Director Don Carpenter by Alumni Association President, Reggie Montgomery.
“We can’t thank the St. George Alumni Association enough for making this generous donation. Their gift clearly demonstrates the Association’s strong community spirit and their ongoing commitment to supporting local youth. I am so grateful for the way members of the local community come together to support programs like Trekkers.”
This fall, Trekkers will begin the third year of a six-year expansion project. The organization has now increased student enrollment by 50% and will serve 180 students through its core programming for students in grades 7 through 12.
