HS Girl's Soccer: Morse To Much For Belfast

Bath, Maine - Morse traveled to Belfast on Thursday and beat the Lions 5 - 1.

Aubrey Martin had a strong day on offense as she scored four of the Shipbuilder's goals.  She started in the 33rd minute assisted by Abby Minott.  Morse maintained pressure in their offensive third with Martin taking just 2 minutes to scored the next goal unassisted.  After more pressure and some rattled hardware, Baylie Cram headed a ball to the foot of Martin who collected her hat trick.  Late in the half Belfast penitrated the Morse defense for one of its few times and pushed a shot passed a diving Marissa Parks.

The Shipbuilders scored twice in the second half and Emma Rossetti assisted on both.  The first was a direct kick which Martin finished for her fourth goal while the other was a corner kick taken nicely out of the air by Amanda Gagne for Morse's fifth goal.

It was a strong all around game for the Shipbuilders who next travel to Spruce Mountain on Saturday.
