Husson Notes

Husson is 12-6 all-time in season openers.
The Eagles are 5-6 all-time against members of the CCC.
Husson has won four straight at home and five of the last six.
The Husson field hockey team has been selected to repeat as the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) champion in 2015 in a vote of the league's head coaches after winning the regular season and tournament titles a year ago. The 2015 Eagle unit are guided by second-year coach and 2014 NAC Coach of the Year Madeline Hoeppner.
Hoeppner expects a big season from senior forward Britt Mellor, who appeared in 15 games last season. Taylor Lovley and Libby Kain, both 2014 NAC All-Tournament Team members, return for their junior campaigns. Lovley, a 2014 All-NAC selection, led the Eagles in assists (6) and points (22), while Kain posted a team-high nine goals and was second on the squad with 20 points.

After claiming their fourth conference tournament title and first since 2011 last season, the Eagles went on to compete in the NCAA Division III National Championship.
Taylor Shaw scored a goal in last season's game at New England. Olivia Plaisted and Libby Kain each had an assist in the contest.
Lovely needs three assists to move into a tie for fifth place all-time in school history. She is currently tied for eighth all-time in assists with 12. She trails Jillian Moren and Crystal Strout (each with 13) by one assist for seventh, Mariah Orno and Darby Smiley (each with 14) by two assists for sixth, and Cara Poirier and Elisha Dorso (each with 15) by three assists for fifth.
