FH: Husson defeats Saint Joseph's, 3-2‏

BANGOR, Maine - Hanna Jordan assisted on two Husson goals Monday, including what proved to be the game-winner in the 33rd minute, leading to a 3-2 victory over Saint Joseph's (Maine) at Winkin Sports Complex. The Eagles have won three of the last five meetings between the squads.

Husson (1-3) scored all of its goals in the first half. Lauren Russell gave the Eagles a 1-0 edge when she beat Emma Astbury in the 15th minute. Jordan connected with Kerianne Downing in the 31st minute to make the score 2-0. Britt Mellor found the back of the net with aid from Jordan just before halftime to put the Eagles up a field goal at intermission.

Saint Joseph's (0-1) did its scoring in the second 35 minutes, getting on the board in the 50th minute when Michalia Parent found the back of the net with an assist from Kayla Kelly. Kelsey Drummond cut the deficit to one in the 52nd minute with help from Meghan Williams, but Kaitlin Dolloff stoned the Owls down the stretch to preserve Husson's first win over Saint Joseph's since 2012, also a 3-2 decision at home.

Mikayla Toth totaled a team-high three shots in the win.

Drummond had 14 shots in the loss.

Dolloff made a career-high 16 saves and went the distance in goal.

Astbury made two saves in the loss in 70 minutes of action as the netminder.

Husson travels to Bates (Maine) on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. ET start.
