Women's Golf Finishes Second at Bowdoin Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's golf team finished second of three teams at this weekend's Bowdoin Invitational at Brunswick Golf Club.


The Polar Bears carded a two-day total of 758 to trail Bates (738) and place ahead of Husson (988).

 
How It Happened
  • Kelsie Dessent of Husson earned medalist honors by posting a two-day score of 168
  • Kelly Wasserman of Bates and Kelsie Dessent of Husson both recorded the best day one scores (83)
  • Bowdoin's Diya Chopra was the second-best on Sunday behind Dessent's 85, carding a score of 88 in windy conditions.
  • Haley Friesch (87-96) and Meredith Sullivan (94-94) also posted solid back-to-back rounds for Bowdoin.

Up Next
  • The Polar Bears will return to action next weekend at the Mount Holyoke Invitational on Friday and Saturday at The Orchards Country Club.
