HENNIKER, New Hampshire - The Thomas College women's cross country team placed
4th with 124 points at the Mayflower Invitational hosted by New England
College, their second event of the young 2015 season. Leading the
Terriers was junior runner Amanda Cotter finishing with a time of 23:17, good for a 20th place finish.
Crystal Peatfield was the second Terriers runner to cross the finish line and placed 25th with a 24:09 time. Evelyn Swan finished 41st (26:47), Alyssa Maggi was 44th (27:15), and Marissa Gammon placed 45th with a 27:22 finish time.
New England College junior Abby Shafter won the event with an 18:59
time, 53 seconds ahead of runner-up Emily Lopez of Colby-Sawyer
College. Lopez's teammate Lauren Oligny rounded out the top three,
giving the Chargers the overall team victory.
Thomas women's cross country will be competing in the Johnson State
Invitational Saturday, Sept. 19 in Johnson, Vermont. The race scheduled
for 10:30am start
