BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College senior Rachel Kennedy (Trumbull, Conn.) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
Kennedy enjoyed a torrid week against three conference opponents,
scoring a hat trick in three consecutive games as the Polar Bears
outscored their foes 16-0. Kennedy recorded three goals in wins against
Bates (5-0), Wesleyan (5-0) and Williams (6-0) last week, and continues
to draw closer to several school marks.
In 64 career games, Kennedy now has 80 goals and 16 assists for 176
points, ranking second only to Lindsay McNamara '09 in career goals (92)
and points (205) all-time at Bowdoin.
Second-ranked Bowdoin will return to action Saturday when they host
sixth-ranked Middlebury in a big NESCAC showdown on Ryan Field at noon.
Fans can follow all the action live on the Northeast Sports Network.
