Maine DECD to Offer Business Outreach Hours at Oxford Hills Chamber Office - September 17

AUGUSTA, Maine - The Maine Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) is announcing that Governor's Account Executive Diane Jackson will be available to meet with business owners and representatives from the Oxford Hills region on September 17.

Since 2011 DECD and its team of Governor's Account Executives have assisted numerous businesses looking to start-up, expand or relocate here in the State of Maine.

"I have spent my time as Governor making Maine a more inviting place to do business," said Governor Paul R. LePage. "My team of Account Executives serves as Maine's business ambassadors, helping facilitate new private investment, job creation and economic prosperity across our great state."

Governor's Account Executives are the liaisons to various economic development resources. "This is our way of becoming better partners with the private sector," said DECD Commissioner George Gervais. "The Account Executives serve as a one-stop resource for businesses that may be dealing with a variety of issues, such as; site location, permitting and licensing, funding, or workforce training."

Diane Jackson is one of six account executives, each responsible for certain geographical areas or industry sectors in Maine. Jackson is scheduled to be at the Oxford Hills Chamber office, located at 4 Western Avenue, South Paris, from 10 a.m. - Noon on September 17. No appointment is necessary for businesses looking to meet one-on-one with Jackson.

"We are delighted to have Dianne come to the Chamber office to provide support and resources that will help existing businesses be more successful and create opportunities for new business to develop here in the greater Oxford Hills," said John Williams Executive Director of the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce.
