BRISTOL, R.I. -- Kaelin Hogan and McKenna Everding combined for 11 goals
and four assists to lead Roger Williams University to a 19-4
Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's lacrosse victory over the
University of New England on Saturday afternoon (Apr. 2) at Bayside
Field.
Emily Stoeppel and Caitlin Murphy followed up Hogan (6) and Everding (5)
with three goals apiece; Stoeppel also chipped in four assists. Carly
Martin tacked on two goals and three assists to go with a game-high six
ground balls and three caused turnovers. Marin Owens had five draw
controls, and Kimberly Bolk made four saves.
The Hawks (6-3, 2-0 CCC) finished with a 37-13 advantage in shots.
For the Nor'easters (5-4, 1-1 CCC), Olivia Carpenter, Korinne Bohunsky, Paige St. George, and Natasha Nary each scored once. Courtney Kendall made four 1st-half saves and collected a team-best five ground balls.
UNE will be back in Biddeford on Wednesday (7 p.m.) to take on Gordon College.
