NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Senior Moriah Greenstein scored four of her career-high six goals in the opening half to lead the No. 9 nationally ranked Bates College women's lacrosse team to a 19-7 NESCAC victory at Connecticut College Saturday.

The victory moves Bates (11-3, 6-3 NESCAC) into a tie with Colby (11-3, 6-3) for fourth place in the conference standings. The rivals will face each other on Wednesday at 5pm at Garcelon Field in both teams' regular-season finales. The winner of that game will gain a top-four seed in next Saturday's NESCAC Championship quarterfinals and may play host to the other.

The Camels fell to 5-9 with a 1-8 mark in conference action.

Greenstein (Glenmont, N.Y.) leads the NESCAC in goals (44) by a margin of five and in points (68)
by a margin of 10. She is two points away from tying Bates' single-season record and 11 points away from matching the program's career points record.

Junior midfielder Drew Barry (Portland, Maine) chipped in a career-high four points with three goals and an assist for the winning side. Sophomores Camille Belletete (Jaffrey, N.H.) and Allison Dewey (Vergennes, Vt.) both contributed two goals and an assist for the Bobcats. Senior Emma Noto (Portland, Ore.) and junior Kaileigh Maguire (Sudbury, Mass.) both added a pair of goals, and junior Sydney Cowles (Wayne, Pa.) had a goal and an assist. Senior goalkeeper Hannah Jeffrey (Greenwich, Conn.) made six saves.

Erin Moran scored four goals to lead the Camels. Hannah Donegan scored twice and Cassidy Lynch chipped in with a single tally for the Camels.

Meg Raskin made four saves in the opening half of action. Megan Mullin contributed five stops in the second stanza.

Bates opened the game with eight of the game's first nine goals. Greenstein netted an unassisted marker with 18:09 remaining to put the Bobcats on top 5-1. Noto made it a 6-1 game with 12:47 remaining.

Raskin made a terrific stop on Barry with 12:20 to go, but Bates was able to break the clear. Cowles intercepted the outlet pass and dished it off to Greenstein, who flicked one in to make it a 7-1 game. Dewey capped the rally for the Bobcats, scoring with 10 minutes to go.

Bates continued to pull away, taking an 11-2 lead into the break with goals by Maguire, Belletete and Greenstein between the 24th and 27th minutes of the game.

Moran pulled the Camels to within 13-6 when she scored with 18:17 remaining, but Bates responded with a 6-0 run, capped by back-to-back unassisted tallies by Barry.
