Lyndon State Blemishes Senior Day for UMF

FARMINGTON, Maine – University of Maine at Farmington men's lacrosse (0-10, 0-7) could not stop the constant scoring of Lyndon State College (6-7, 5-3) with a 26-8 North Atlantic Conference loss on Saturday afternoon at Prescott Field.

The Beavers only trailed 5-1 after the opening period and trimmed the lead to 6-3 with five minutes to go in the second quarter, but the Hornets strung together six unanswered goals to close out the half.
Cameron McAllister (Yarmouth, Maine/Hampden Academy) netted a team-high four goals for the Beavers and dished an assist. Travis St. Pierre (Sebago, Maine/Mountain Valley) was close behind McAllister with three goals and Case Wrigley (Oakland, Maine/Messalonskee) rounded out UMF's scoring with a goal.

Caleb Carr (Augusta, Maine/Cony) made five saves in net for the Beavers.

Kevin McCarthy posted a game-high seven goals for the Hornets. Shea Jones added five scores while Spencer Aubin, Ian Pelkey, and Zachary Carey contributed three goals apiece.

UMaine-Farmington hosts Thomas on Monday in the home finale.
