Rachel Harvey's first inning RBI double put Maine on the board as Leonard came in to score on the play.

The Black Bears pushed across three more runs in the top of the second. With two away in the inning, Leonard ripped a double to left center before scoring on Royle's double to left. Royle and Janelle Bouchard scored soon after on Derrick's two-RBI double to center. Maine led 4-0 after two innings.

Yale cut the lead in half with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third. A lead-off triple from Carlin Hagmeier led to her scoring on Allie Souza's single down the right field line. Souza would come around to score on a fielder's choice.

Maine starter Annie Kennedy and relief Erin Bogdanovich shut the Bulldogs down the rest of the way to secure the 4-2 victory.

Kennedy moves to 6-4 on the year after going 4.1 innings, giving up two runs on seven hits with a pair of strikeouts. Bogdanovich recorded the save after 2.2 innings of one-hit work, fanning three.
