HS Girls Soccer: Marshwood Defeats Thornton Academy, September 11th

Saco, Maine - Marshwood won 2-1 in Saco, on a late goal by Reagan Nichols. The Hawks took the lead in the first half when Natalie Herbold scored off a pass from Marin Smith. Marin Smith would assist on both goals for the hawks.

In the second half, TA fought back to tie the game with 11 minutes left off of a PK. Four minutes later Reagan Nichols scored to put the hawks up for good. The defense played strong for the hawks who improve to 3-0. Emily Robida finished the game with seven saves. Thornton drops to 2-1 on the season.

The Hawks are back in action Wednesday when they take on Windham at MHS.
