VB: Cote, Wilson garner weekly NAC honors‏

WHITINGHAM, Vermont - A pair of Husson sophomores - middle hitter Bailey Cote and libero Sarah Wilson - have been named the North Atlantic Conference Volleyball Player and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Cote helped lead the Eagles to a 3-2 start on the season. The Biddeford, Maine, native tallied 38 kills, including two double-digit performances, while hitting .455 across five matches. She also recorded 14 digs, 11 blocks (six solo), and five service aces on the week.

Wilson helped lead the Green and Gold to a second-place finish at the Husson Invitational. The Dover, N.H., product recorded double-digit digs in all four of the matches she played in, including two 21-dig performances. She tallied 68 digs on the week, averaging 4.86 per set, while also earning eight kills and two service aces.

The Eagles host Southern Maine on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET.
