The Mules (2-1 overall) should receive tough tests Saturday against Scranton at 11 a.m. and Babson at 3 p.m. in the invitational.
Colby won 25-19, 25-23, 17-25, 25-20 against Wellesley. The Mules lost 25-18 in the first set and then rallied 25-21, 25-16, 25-20 against Brandeis.
Erin Maidman (Ventura, Calif.) had 20 defensive digs to lead Colby against Wellesley. Molly Manuel (Andover, Mass.) added 15 assists, while Emily Moslener (Leonardtown, Md.) finished with 11 assists and three service aces. Natalie Roy (Los Altos, Calif.) added 19 digs and four kills, Sarah Arvidson (Andover, Mass.) had eight kills, Paige Hanssen (Earlysville, Va.) and Kim Donaldson (Colorado Springs, Colo.) each had six kills, and Karolina Serhan (Needham, Mass.) led in blocks with four and had four kills.
Arvidson paced the Mules with eight kills and 12 digs against the Judges. Elizabeth Noyes (Nashua, N.H.) led in digs (15), Donaldson had four blocks to go along with six kills, Serhan had three blocks and six kills, and Manuel had 21 assists. Hanssen had nine digs, four aces, and four kills.
