Thursday, April 21

“The Amazing Life of Iron!” with Dr. David Emerson of the Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, hosted by Midcoast Audubon, at the Camden Public Library, as part of Maritime Month.


Saturday, April 23

Annual TLC DAY in Camden Amphitheatre and Harbor Park, 9:00 am to noon, volunteers needed, bring rakes and other hand tools. Call Dave Jackson at the Camden library at 236-3440 for more information.

Indoor Book Sale 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. All sales benefit  the purchase of new books and the children’s and adult programs at the library.

Free Earth Day Weekend Events in the Camden Amphitheatre, 1:00-3:00 pm, part of “Moving Explorations in Community.” For more information, go to joyfulbodies.org.

Simply Books! Club, 2:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, all are welcome.


Sunday, April 24

Indoor Book Sale continues, 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. All sales benefit the purchase of new books and the children’s and adult programs at the library.


Monday, April 25

Career workshop, “Your Next Career Move: Tools to Get Started,” at the Camden Public Library, 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm, with Melinda Wildes of New Ventures Maine. The workshop will cover what to consider when making a career choice, the steps involved in creating a career plan, and the resources available to help you succeed. Sunday, May 1

“Cyber Sunday” free tech session, 2:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, the topic this week is “Craigslist for Beginners.”


Tuesday, March 3

“Vernal Pools Ecology,” 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, hosted by Coastal Mountains Land Trust. Kris Hoffman, educator and UMO Ph.D. student, will explain the ecology of Maine’s vernal pools and how we regulate the most productive pools.


Wednesday, May 3

Midcoast Stroke Support Group, 10:00 am at the Camden Public Library. The group welcomes survivors, family, and friends of stroke survivors, or anyone faced with a neurological challenge.


Thursday, May 5

Charlie King is the featured performer at the Camden Library Coffeehouse, 7:00 pm; $7 admission. Charlie King is a musical storyteller and political satirist who he has been at the heart of American folk music for half a century. “One of the finest singers and songwriters of our time,” said Pete Seeger.
