HS Girls Soccer: Morse Comes Up Short Against Oceanside, Oceanside Wins 1-0

Bath, Maine - Morse played Oceanside on Friday and came up short, losing 1 – 0.  Neither team was able to gain a clear territorial advantage in the first half.  Much of the game was played in the midfield but the defense of each team didn’t allow any sustained offensive play. 

Midway through the second half Oceanside pushed in a rebound from in close for the game’s only goal.  The Shipbuilders pressed hard for the equalizer as the final minutes but were unable to penetrate the stingy Mariner defense.   Marissa Parks had 15 saves in the losing effort.  Next for Morse is Medomak Valley at home on Tuesday.
