Thursday, April 14

Meteorologist Ken McKinley will present “An Analysis of Weather Factors Affecting Recent Big Ship Disasters,” 7:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, part of the library’s Maritime Month speaker series, sponsored by Allen Insurance and Financial.


Sunday, April 17

Dragon Farm Salons will host “Wabanaki REACH: Reconciliation, Engagement, Advocacy, Change, and Healing,” with Penthea Burns, 2:00 pm at the Camden Public Library.


Tuesday, April 19

Camden Public Library will host a free “Tech Tuesday” session on “Google Apps: Maximize all the free tools Google offers,” 3:00 pm, with staff tech wizard Olga Zimmerman.

Songwriters Session, 6:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. Songwriters meet monthly in preparation for performing their new works at the Library Coffeehouse in June. Call the library at 236-3440 for more information.

Free Family Movie 6:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, based on the book “The Life of Pi” (2012, PG, 127 min.). Part of Maritime Month.

“The Amazing Life of Iron!” with Dr. David Emerson of the Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, hosted by Midcoast Audubon, at the Camden Public Library, as part of Maritime Month.


Saturday, April 23

Annual TLC DAY in the Camden Amphitheatre and Harbor Park, 9:00 am to noon, volunteers needed, bring rakes and other hand tools. Call Dave Jackson at the Camden library at 236-3440 for more information.

Indoor Book Sale 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Camden Public Library. All sales benefit  the purchase of new books and the children’s and adult programs at the library.

Free Earth Day Weekend Events in the Camden Amphitheatre, 1:00-3:00 pm, part of “Moving Explorations in Community.” For more information, go to joyfulbodies.org.

Simply Books! Club, 2:00 pm at the Camden Public Library, all are welcome.
