Rockport, Maine - On Tuesday, May 22, at 7:00 pm, the Rockport Public Library will host a Candidates' Night at the Rockport Opera House, in the downstairs meeting room.
Moderated by Dan Bookham of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce, the forum will feature three candidates running for two open seats on the Select Board this year. Currently held by Sani Fogel and Charlton Ames, the three candidates running are Charlton Ames, Gordon Best, and Ken McKinley.
Candidates will be allowed a couple of minutes for an opening statement, then the moderator will be taking questions from the floor, which each candidate will answer in turn. Then, time permitting, candidates will be allowed a brief closing statement/summation. All of the questions will originate from the citizens in attendance or from the moderator, rather from the candidates to each other.
The forum will be televised. Light refreshments will be provided.
