Governor Orders Flags be Lowered in Montville to Honor Fallen Hero


Augusta, Maine - Governor Paul R. LePage today ordered that flags be flown at half-staff on Thursday, May 24, in the town of Montville for Sergeant First Class Mark Coleman, a Maine State Trooper, and a traditional Guardsman with the Massachusetts ARNG. SFC Coleman died May 17 from the affects of a Traumatic Brain Injury & Terminal Disease.

SFC Mark Robert Coleman served in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and deployed to Guantanamo Bay Cuba.

SFC Coleman’s family resides in Montville.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Thursday, May 24 at the Hamden Gilpatrick Funeral Home, Hamden, Maine.
