Red Sox Autographed Baseball at Charity Auction

Red Sox Autographed Baseball at Charity Auction

Damariscotta, Maine - On Friday, June 8, some lucky Red Sox fan will take home an autographed Red Sox baseball from the auction at Pemaquid Watershed Association’s annual fundraising event.  The baseball, signed by outfielder Darnell McDonald, was generously donated by the Boston Red Sox, and all proceeds from the sale will go to support land and water stewardship on the Pemaquid Peninsula.

Darnell McDonald has been an outfielder with the Boston Red Sox since 2010. He is renowned for hitting a home run on his first Red Sox at-bat, a feat only accomplished by nine other players in major league baseball history. Bids for the baseball will start with the online pre-auction bidding opportunity during the week leading up to the party and will culminate on the evening of the party.  Tickets to PWA’s Party on the Pier at The Contented Sole restaurant in Pemaquid Harbor, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on June 8, are $25 each and are available from the Maine Coast Book Shop in Damariscotta or by calling PWA at (207) 563-2196 or visiting their office above Salt Bay CafĂ© in Damariscotta during business hours.
