Coiley's monster day leads FA past Dexter
Dexter, Maine - Cody Coiley had three hits and six RBI, Matt Chapman continued to swing a red-hot bat, and Ryan Rebar was brilliant on the mound once again as the FA baseball team rolled to a 10-3 win at Dexter Tuesday afternoon. The victory is the Ponies’ fourth straight and improves their season mark to 10-5. Dexter drops to 9-5.
Coiley collected a two-run, two-out single in the first, a three-run triple in the third, and a run-scoring single in the fifth to regain the team lead in RBI with 13. Chapman finished 2-4 with two RBI and two of the Ponies’ 11 stolen bases. He’s now 7-12 over his past four games and is hitting a robust .346 for the year. Meanwhile it was business as usual for Rebar, who held the Tigers to four hits and one earned run in the complete-game effort. The junior, who will finish the regular season with a 5-1 record and 0.67 ERA, struck out five hitters and issued just one free pass.
Hunter Law doubled, stole three bases, and scored three runs, and Cameron Fadley added a single, a stolen base, and two runs scored. Forrest Law (1-3 with a SB and a run) and Caleb Richard (1-3 with an RBI and a run) had the Ponies’ other hits.
Trevor Fogerty, Casey Jordan, Brandon Spratt, and Vinnie Milinauskas had the Tigers' four hits.
