Make it in America. Make it in Maine
Summit Features Maine's Future Innovators; Puts the "Cool" in Manufacturing
Owls Head, Maine - Think manufacturing in Maine and think high school students operating self-designed robots tossing ping pong balls expertly into bins. Wind blades whirling to unseen speeds, created by student teams who apply the studies of math, science and use of composites.
The future of manufacturing in Maine will be celebrated at Manufacturers Association of Maine's two-day summit, May 9-10 at Owls Head Transportation Museum. "Make it in America. Make it in Maine" is the summit's theme where the who's who in the state's manufacturing community meets a new generation of innovators while celebrating today's technological achievements.
"The face of manufacturing in Maine embodies innovation, applied science, entrepreneurial skills mixed with youthful inquisitiveness," states Lisa Martin, Executive Director with the Manufacturers Association of Maine. "And the future of Maine's manufacturing sector will prosper as we recognize the pivotal role it plays in expanding our economy."
The Manufacturing Summit will also showcase Maine's manufacturers including:
Biovation
Cameron Flow Control
