Camden Rotary to Host Giant Yard Sale


Rockport, Maine - The Camden Rotary Club will hold its third annual Giant Yard Sale on May 26 and 27 at the former Rockport Elementary School East on West Street, near the intersection of Routes 1 and 90.

Sale items will include sporting goods, furniture, housewares, gardening supplies, toys, decorative items and much more.

The sale will take place in the old school gymnasium, rain or shine, and there will be plenty of parking, Sale hours are 8 a.m. – 4 pm. Saturday, May 26, and 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday, May 27.

“Memorial Day weekend will kick off with some great bargains at this sale,” the community at the same time,” said club member Susie Goddard, who chairs the yard sale committee. “We have some something for everyone, and shoppers will be helping the community with every purchase they make.”

The 70 Camden Rotary Club members, their families and friends are donating thousands of items for the sale. Call Susie Goddard at 975-2528 if you would like to contribute items, too. (Sorry, no electrical appliances, TVs, electronics, books or clothing will be accepted.)

The event will raise funds to support local non-profit organizations that receive grants from the Rotary Club. Recipients of funds raised during the sale in past years include the Ragged Mountain Recreation Area Foundation, LifeFlight of Maine and the Camden Hills Regional High School Windplanners.
