Vitamins and Healthy Aging Presentation at Sylvia Ross Home

Vitamins and Healthy Aging Presentation at Sylvia Ross Home

Bangor, Maine - On May 24, the public is invited to attend a special presentation at the Sylvia Ross Home at 2 pm, Vitamins and Healthy Aging – is there a link? This presentation is being offered in conjunction with an open house at Sylvia Ross Home from 1 -4 pm, where community members may tour the facility’s model apartments and enjoy Russian classical music from the grand piano.

During the presentation, Amy Cotton, nurse practitioner and EMHS director of Operations and Senior Services, will discuss the role of vitamins in helping older adults stay well. Cotton will provide dietary tips on how to get the vitamins and minerals recommended each day. She will also include the benefits of physical activity and tips for maintaining a healthy brain.

“May is Older Americans month and in recognition of this special time, we hope to provide seniors and their families with beneficial information on how they can maintain, even improve their health, so they can live every day to the fullest,” shares Cotton.

This presentation is sponsored by Rosscare. Both the presentation and open house are free to the public. Refreshments will be provided, along with a door prize drawing for a travel gift basket with a $40 gift card.
