LIVE LOCAL MUSIC AT FUNDRAISER DINNER

LIVE LOCAL MUSIC AT FUNDRAISER DINNER

Damariscotta, Maine - Friday, June 8, will be a rare chance to enjoy a public performance by the “Dam Jam,” a grassroots group of musicians from the Damariscotta region.  Dam Jam will be performing at Party on the Pier, a fundraiser for Pemaquid Watershed Association (PWA) from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Contented Sole restaurant in Pemaquid Harbor. The group, which has been jamming together since 2008, plays a lively mix of Celtic, Quebecois, Appalachian, New England, and contemporary tunes.  Tickets for Party on the Pier are $25 each and are available at Maine Coast Book Shop or from PWA by calling 563-2196 or stopping up weekdays at their office above Salt Bay CafĂ© in downtown Damariscotta.  Everyone is welcome, and the dress for the event is casual.

Along with rollicking musical entertainment, Party on the Pier will feature live and silent auctions, delicious hors d’oeuvres, dinner sampler and desserts courtesy of the Contented Sole restaurant, and a cash bar.  When tickets are purchased, there will be an opportunity to sign up to enjoy a “Harbor Putt” during the party, a 15-minute boat tour of Pemaquid Harbor by Pemaquid Ocean Tours. Proceeds from Party on the Pier go to support the mission of PWA to conserve the natural resources of the Pemaquid Peninsula through land and water stewardship and education. The public is invited to buy a ticket to Party on the Pier and support PWA while enjoying great live music in scenic Pemaquid Harbor.  For more information about Pemaquid Watershed Association, visit www.pemaquidwatershed.org.
