EMMC Presents Nursing Excellence Award
Bangor, ME – On Thursday morning, May 3, from 8 to 9 am, Eastern Maine Medical Center will present its annual Nursing Excellence Award. The award is a public commendation given to one EMMC staff nurse each year who embodies “nursing excellence”.
Nurses are nominated for recognition by their peers for excellence in clinical expertise, leadership, dedication to EMMC patients and co-workers, and continued professional development. There are 56 nominees for this year’s award, which is presented by Lisa Swanson, RN, chief nursing officer. The award has been presented since 1989 as part of EMMC’s celebration of nursing excellence. The Nursing Excellence Award recipient receives a certificate, pin of commendation, gift card, and is invited to the Blaine House Tea in Augusta with other top performers in nursing.
