Dramatic Repertory Company presents LIFE DURING WARTIME
Portland, Maine - Dramatic Repertory Company (Keith Powell Beyland, Artistic Director) wraps up its critically-acclaimed 2011/2012 season with LIFE DURING WARTIME by Keith Reddin. The show will run for 9 performances only, May 31 - June 10, 2012 at the Studio Theatre at Portland Stage, 25A Forest Avenue, Portland, Maine.
Life During Wartime is Keith Reddin's deliciously dark comedy that examines the enormous difference between feeling secure and being secure.
Tommy's new job is selling security systems door-to-door, searching for those who live in fear. Simple enough in this day and age, but the rabbit hole goes deeper than Tommy can imagine. Not even the ever-present spirit of 16th century religious reformer John Calvin (1509-1564) can save him from the inevitable trap, or save those he loves from becoming ensnared.
DRC is extremely proud to present an all-star cast of local performers in this Portland Premiere work -- sex...lies...and John Calvin!
The cast of LIFE DURING WARTIME features Peter Brown (The Late Henry Moss, Mad Horse), Brian Chamberlain (Burn This, Stage Force), Matt Delamater (Gross Indecency..., DRC), Elizabeth Lardie (The Christmas Bride, Snowlion Rep), Christine Penney (Burn This, Stage Force), Andrew Sawyer (Little Me, Good Theater) and Casey Turner (Tigers Be Still, DRC). The show is directed by DRC Artistic Director, Keith Powell Beyland.
Tickets for LIFE DURING WARTIME range from $10 - $20 with Premium Tickets also available.
Tickets are available now at Brown Paper Tickets -- online at www.dramaticrep.org or by phone at 800-838-3006.
LIFE DURING WARTIME will play May 31 - June 2 at 7:30pm, June 3 at 2:00pm and then June 6 - 10 at 7:30pm at the Studio Theatre at Portland Stage, 25A Forest Avenue, Portland, Maine.

when they mount Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde. "

This theater company is finishing up its first season in fine style and promises a 2011-2012 season
featuring more of the kind of plays even Oscar Wilde would find worthy.”
-- Maine Sunday Telegram, June 5, 2011
