June 2 & 3 Book Sale! Mark your calendars!
Camden, Maine-The Camden Public Library is holding a used book sale Saturday and Sunday, June 2 and 3, in the Picker Room. There will be hundreds of books of all categories. As usual the selection of FICTION books will be mountainous, but the gems of the sale will be the ART BOOKS. “It’s a veritable treasure trove, books about Dahlov, Manet, Rivera, Van Gogh, Monet, Ernst, Renoir and many more,” reports Don White, volunteer chair of the event. “In addition, if you’re planning a trip or even dreaming of one, the June sale will have some interesting travel books for sale.” The hours of the sale will be Saturday, 9:30 am until 4:30 pm, and Sunday 1:00 pm until 4:30 pm.
Fiction is the most popular subject matter and this sale is loaded with such authors as Steve Martini, James Patterson, Tess Gerritsen, J.A. Jance, Robert Parker, Robert Ludlum, Mary Higgins Clark, Ken Follet, Julie Garwood, and Tami Hoag. “Our history and biography selections are many, there’s a fine selection of cook book and our reference section is filled with medical books, computer books, and other interesting reference materials,” says Don.
During this June sale Children’s books will be fifty cents each. There will be an abundance of paperbacks at 50 cents each or three for one dollar. Movies are plentiful in VHS and DVD formats. Also choose 45rpm music selections, 10 for $1.00.
For serious to casual readers, there will be a book for you!
