Middle School Summer Reads Party at the Rockport Public Library

Rockport, Maine - On August 15, from 3:30 until 4:30, the Rockport Public Library will host a celebration of the books chosen for Camden Rockport Middle School Summer Reads program. Fifth and sixth grade students and their families are invited to attend this program. The fifth graders will discuss Hoot by Carl Hiaasen and the sixth graders will discuss their book choice, The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P. Figg by Rodman Philbrick. Snacks and beverages will be provided. The seventh and eighth grade students are invited to discuss their books at the Camden Public Library during this same time.

Michelle Gabrielson, the CRMS literacy coach and Kathy Foss, the middle school Media Specialist coordinate this program each year. Kathy Foss will be at this event to discuss the books and celebrate summer reading.
