Sloops Arrive For 2012 Rockland Homecoming Rendezvous and Races

Rockland, Maine - On Wednesday afternoon sloops started to arrive at the public landing in beautiful Rockland, Maine. The sloops are here in beautiful Rockland harbor for the 2012 Homecoming Rendezvous and Races from July 19th through the 21st.

Here is the 2012 daily schedule for the Homecoming Rendezvous and Races:

Thursday, the 19th of July:
10:00am Skippers Meeting, with coffee and donuts under the tent.
12:00 noon Race starts off Breakwater.
4:30pm Rowboat races, all ages welcome to participate.
6:00pm Dinner on your own, but grills will be available for BBQ.

Friday, the 20th of July:

10:00am Skippers Meeting, with coffee and donuts under the tent.
12:00 noon Races starts off Breakwater.

4:00pm Sloops on public display at the dock.
5:00pm Dinner on your own, but grills will be available for BBQ.

Saturday, the 21st of July:
10:00am Skippers Meeting, with coffee and donuts under the tent.
11:30am Parade of Sloops
12:00 noon Race starts off Breakwater.
5:30pm Awards Ceremony and Public Diner under the tent.

The best location to watch the Parade of Sloops and daily races is the Rockland Breakwater. We hope everyone can come and watch these sloops race each other off the Rockland Breakwater.
