Camden/Rockport, Maine - Express your love for nature! Merryspring Nature Center invites children and families to participate in a free nature art workshop on Sunday, July 22 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
The second in a series of free summer workshops, Nature Art Day will consist of two classes. From 1:00 to 2:00 pm, activities in nature journal construction, wildlife collages, and landscape paintings will be offered in the gazebo. Beginning at 2:00 until 3:00, AmeriCorps environmental educator Brett Willard will lead interested children and families on a nature journaling hike, with an outdoor sculpture component also being offered.
The Free Family Workshop series offers a wide array of educational events from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on select Sundays throughout the summer. Merryspring is a member-supported, non-profit nature education center and park located at the end of Conway Road just off Rt. 1 by the Hannaford shopping plaza in Camden.
