Tillman Crane Gallery in Camden to Host Open Studio/Gallery August 4th and 5th

 CAMDEN -- July 25, 2011 -- The Tillman Crane Photography Gallery in Camden will host an open Studio/Gallery from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5.

 

Tillman Crane will demonstrate the printing process for his luminescent, hand-coated platinum photographs. Guests will see how he uses old fashioned large-format cameras and turn-of-the-century soft-focus lenses to create his distinctive photographs. Using 19^th century process, Crane prints photographs individually to give each one a distinctive, painterly quality. No two prints exactly alike.

 

The exhibit will include 75 photographs, most of which were made in 2011 and 2012, as well as three of Crane’s books of images.
