LOCAL AUTHOR, ENERGY EXPERT AT LITHGOW LIBRARY ON MAY 23 AND 24

Augusta, Maine - Lithgow Public Library will host two events on May 23 and 24.  On Wednesday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m., Milton Huntington will talk about his new book, A Lifetime of Laughter as part of Lithgow Library’s “Maine Authors in May” series.  Huntington returns readers to the good old days of yesteryear as he reminisces about Augusta in days gone by, close encounters with celebrities and politicians, hunting and fishing yarns, and assorted humorous tales.

Solar energy contractor Tom Fullam will give a program on Thursday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m. as part of Lithgow Library’s series on sustainability, “It’s Not Easy Being Green.”  Fullam will give tips on making energy efficient improvements in existing homes. Fullam is a licensed solar, heating and plumbing contractor and a state-certified energy auditor who has designed his own "Near Zero" home. His utility bill (electricity, heat and hot water) averages less than $40 a month. Fullam works as a consultant sharing building practices and home improvement methods which result in a more energy efficient home.

Both programs will take place in the Reading Room, and are free and open to the public. Copies of A Lifetime of Laughter will be available for purchase at Huntington’s program.
