Lincoln Theater to Screen We Need to Talk About Kevin

Lincoln Theater to Screen We Need to Talk About Kevin

Damariscotta, Maine - 2012 Winner of the British Evening Standard Film Award for Best Film, and nominated for more than 25 other awards, We Need to Talk About Kevin (R) stars the amazing Tilda Swinton in a harrowing psychological tale, playing two nights only at Lincoln Theater, Saturday May 12 and Sunday May 13th at 7 PM.

The story unfolds as Kevin's mother struggles to love her strange child, despite the increasingly vicious things he says and does as he grows up. But Kevin is just getting started, and his final act will be beyond anything anyone imagined. Also starring John C. Reilly, this indie thriller is directed by Lynne Ramsay. A suspenseful and gripping psychological thriller, Lynne Ramsay’s We Need to Talk About Kevin explores the fractious relationship between a mother and her evil son. Tilda Swinton, in a bracing, tour-de-force performance, plays the mother, Eva, as she contends for 15 years with the increasing malevolence of her first-born child, Kevin (Ezra Miller).

Based on the best-selling novel of the same name, the film explores nature vs. nurture on a whole new level as Eva’s own culpability is measured against Kevin’s innate evilness. Ramsay’s masterful storytelling simultaneously combines a provocative moral ambiguity with a satisfying and compelling narrative, which builds to a chilling, unforgettable climax.  Tickets: $9 Adults , $7 seniors and are available one hour before showtime.
