Semi-final Tonight May 7th-11th
CULVER CITY, CALIF. (May 7, 2012) -- Tonight Jeopardy! will enter the second week of its Teen Tournament from Washington, D.C. This year's semifinalists visited the district's most prestigious address -- 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue -- to tour the White House with "Jeopardy!" Host Alex Trebek. A White House curator led the teens through some of the White House's most historic rooms. The contestants also viewed Michelle Obama's kitchen garden.

Jeopardy! also took the teens to some of the district's most iconic sites, including the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial.

The nine semifinalists will compete for the $75,000 grand prize in front of an audience of thousands at DAR Constitution Hall. This year's competitors were selected from over 20,000 students who applied for a spot in the elite tournament.

Jeopardy!, the winner of a 2012 Peabody award and 29 Emmy awards, including the 2011 Emmy for Outstanding Game/Audience Participation Program, was inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records for the most awards won by a TV Game Show. The series is the #1-rated quiz show in syndication with 25 million viewers each week. Jeopardy! is produced by Sony Pictures Television, a Sony Pictures Entertainment Company. It is distributed domestically by CBS Television Distribution and internationally by CBS Television International, both units of CBS Corp.
