Augusta, Maine - Road crews are currently working on I-95 southbound, from Exit 179 to Exit 161, in the vicinity of Hampden and Plymouth. Work will continue through September and will include drainage pipe installation, paving, as well as tree and brush removal. Traffic is reduced to one lane while crews are working between 7am and 7pm. Two-way traffic will resume between 7pm and 7am.
In addition, crews are at the Visitor Information Center in Hampden working on ditching and sidewalk improvements. A full closure of this facility is scheduled from May 14th through May 19th so that on-and off- ramps, as well as the parking lot, can be re-paved. No vehicles will be able to access the Visitor Information Center in Hampden during this time.
