Scotty and the Bigdogs |
LEWISTON, ME - These days, everything is bundled for your convenience, isn't it? Not wanting to miss the chance to hop on the proverbial bandwagon, we offer you our own version of the bundle deal. It's fun and value all in one, Franco-style.
We're offering you an excellent night of dining, dancing, libations, and celebrations. It's our Dinner and Dance Date Night. It doesn't matter whether you are coming with your significant other, or significantly looking for others, we're going to have significant fun.
Recent revelers at the Franco Center might recognize the sound and stylings of Scotty and the Bigdogs. An offshoot of the Blues Buzzards (our Fat Tuesday entertainment,) S&tBD are red hot and rearin' to go. The group is a seven piece rock/blues band with a three man horn section, playing a rompin', stompin' mix of tunes by Eric Clapton, Ray Charles, T Bone Walker, Van Morrison, Elvis, The Beatles, and countless others. Lead by trumpet man Scott Davis, the band is populated by a who's who of Maine musicians, and rocks the house wherever they play. The horn section puts this band head and shoulders above rock bands without, with a phat, brassy sound along the lines of Blood Sweat and Tears, Tower of Power, Chicago, and other horn bands. To put it simply: missing this band is never a good idea.
Our very own Chef Edmond, le directeur des pates et tomates, has a feast of Roman proportions planned for our guests. Caesar may have been the king of his empire but, around here, Chef Edmond is the emperor, and we are but his humble servants. Le Chef will be preparing a plentiful pantheon of pastas and preparations for your pleasure. Perfect.
So, leave the kids and the cares behind, it's time to get out on the town and have some fun. We've priced our ticket so it's hard to say no.
