CAMDEN, ME - The 4th annual Dancing with Local Stars is coming right up on Friday, April 27 at the Camden Opera House as eight local celebrities will take the stage to show off their best dance moves in support of The Community Schools at Opportunity Farm and Camden.

This year’s star lineup includes Maine Warden Service Chaplain and bestselling author Kate Braestrup dancing Salsa with Swing & Sway Dancing Owner and Instructor Christian Clayton, Down East Chairman Allen Fernald performing a Tango with Swing and Sway’s Tessa Antolini, SOMA Pilates Instructor Marianne Forti dancing the Tango with Christian Clayton, Camden Police Officer Brook Hartshorn performing an East Coast Swing with Swing & Sway’s Jacob Adams, 40 Paper owner and Executive Chef Josh Hixson dancing Hip Hop with Kinetic Energy Alive Owner and Instructor Kea Tesseyman , Rockland Fire Chief Charlie Jordan performing the Cha Cha with Swing & Sway’s Bonny Branch, Camden EMS Chief Julia Libby dancing the Hustle with Christian Clayton, and Maine State Library’s Jamie Ritter performing the Foxtrot with Bonny Branch.

The show also includes special performances of tap, ballet, hip hop, belly dance and more by Atlantic Ballet Company, Kinetic Energy Alive, Zumba with Korinn, Rockport Dance Conservatory and Nathifa Shakti Belly Dance.

Each of the stars will be transported to the event by All Aboard Trolley and Limousine Company, and hair styling and make-up will be provided by Kim Doll and Beauty Mark Spa. Dancing with Local Stars is sponsored by Camden Real Estate Company, Duffy Anderson, Investment Management & Consulting Group, Echo Farms Properties, Maine Magazine, Richard and Barbara Russo and Richard and Mary Jane Schotte. Gordon Page of Rockland Kiwanis and Maine Eastern Railroad will serve as Master of Ceremonies and refreshments will be provided by Atlantic Baking Company. The celebration will continue after the show with a dance party at 40 Paper.

Dancing with Local Stars starts at 7:00 pm and seating is general admission. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children under age 12 and are available at Camden National Bank, The Grasshopper Shop, HAV11, The Camden Town Office and by calling 236-3000 or visiting www.thecommunityschools.org.
