ELLSWORTH, ME - The Grand is excited to announce the annual DownEast Family YMCA fundraiser the “Battle Of The Bands 2012” Saturday, May 5th at 7pm!
Local bands hoping to participate can contact Daryl DeJoy (daryld@midmaine.com) or by calling the DownEast Family YMCA to register. Registration is limited to seven bands, as each band showcases their stuff for a full 40-minute set. Previous year’s contests have included genres ranging from rock & roll to Celtic to blues and metal.
It’s a showcase night of favorite and unknown regional musicians, with proceeds benefitting the DownEast Family YMCA in Ellsworth.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at The Grand box office by calling 667-9500 or online at www.grandonline.org.
