Belfast Maskers Offers Summer Youth Theatre Camp in Belfast July 2-13, 2012

BELFAST, ME - The Belfast Maskers continues its twenty-fifth anniversary theatre season with its annual Summer Youth Theatre Camp for children ages 8-14 from July 2-13, 2012. Maskers Theatre Camp is a co-educational experience in theatre performance and stagecraft. Camp training will include voice, diction, dance, fundamentals of live performance, stage combat, stage management, costuming, lighting and sound design. Camp culminates in a public performance by the children.

Maskers Youth Theatre Camp will be held at the First Church in Belfast (55 Spring Street) from 9:30 to 12:30, Monday through Friday (Camp will be held Wednesday, July 4). DATE CHANGE for Upcoming Brigadoon Auditions - Moved to Saturday, May 19th
Auditions for the Maskers’ summer production, Brigadoon, will now be held Saturday, May 19, from 10 am to noon at the First Church in Belfast (previously, auditions were scheduled for May 12). Directors Jamie Hagedorn and Aynne Ames will cast 12 major roles plus singers and dancers for the chorus. Production dates are July 26-29 at Steamboat Landing Park in Belfast and August 2-5 at Union Hall (Town Hall) in Searsport. For more information, please visit belfastmaskers.com or call 338-9668.

The Belfast Maskers is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2012. The organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit providing quality theatre for, and with, the community since 1987.
