ROCKLAND, ME - On Tuesday May 8 at 6:30 PM in the Friends Community Room of the Rockland Public Library Todd McIntosh, former assistant principal of Rockland Junior High, and Gail Frye, former science teacher at Rockland Junior High, will give a power point presentation about the very cool, thriving, local ice business. McIntosh will tell about his father’s ice company, the C.H. McIntosh Ice Company, at the north end of Lake Chickawaukie, which operated from 1931 to 1952. Frye will talk about the ice business in Camden, in Rockport, and the big time ice business on the Kennebec River serving New York City.

This program, co-sponsored by the Rockland Historical Society, will be held in the Friends’ Room of the Rockland Public Library, and refreshments will be served.
