National Theatre Live Summer Encore: Frankenstein
On Thursday, July 19 at 7 PM, due to popular request, we are pleased to broadcast in HD the British National Theatre’s encore presentation of Frankenstein. Oscar-winner Danny Boyle (127 Hours, Slumdog Millionaire) returns to the theater to direct this visionary production starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller. Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein's bewildered creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes, the friendless Creature, increasingly desperate and vengeful, determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal.
Brave (PG)
Opening, Friday July 20, Brave tells the story of Princess Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald), who is determined to make her own path in life by defying a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse. The movie plays nightly Friday through Tuesday at 7 PM with an additional matinee showing on Sunday July 22 at 2 PM.
