ROCKLAND, ME - The following are great events happening at the Rockland Strand Theatre from Apr. 10th-28th. Rockland Strand Theatre is located at 345 Main Street in Rockland, ME.


LIVE: 
Saturday, April 28 at 8pm An Evening with James McMurtry Singer/songwriter/guitarist this Texas native has long been known as an astute, clear-eyed observer and concise, no-holds-barred chronicler of the human condition in his songs. Tickets $20 advance / $24 day-of-show up – General Admission

HD BROADCAST:
Saturday, April 10 at 7:00pm BOOK CLUB With Chris Matthews: "Jack Kennedy: Elusive Hero" Join us for 'Book Club with Michael Smerconish' on the big screen. This evening will feature an intimate interview with Chris Matthews, host of MSNBC’s "Hardball.” Tickets are $10 - General Admission.

FILMS:
Saturday, April 15 at 8pm & Sunday, April 16 at 3pm BOY (2011) Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, this warm, spirited and irreverent coming-of-age comedy centers around an 11-year-old Maori named Boy (James Rolleston) who lives with his grandma, his brother Rocky and their cousins on the rural East Coast of New Zealand.

Thursday, April 19 at 7:00pm CIFF Selects: Le Quattro Volte The Strand Theatre and the Camden International Film Festival Michelangelo Frammartino’s wondrous docu-essay, which traces the cycle of life through the daily rituals of life in the southern Italian region of Calabria. The filmmaker will join in a post-screening discussion with the audience. Tickets are $8.50- General admission.

LOCAL:
Thursday, April 26th 6:00pm So You Think You Know Rockland Quiz Show The Strand Theatre and Rockland Maine Street, Inc present a fun and lively evening of local competition. Audience members cheer on teams answering questions about Rockland. There will also be a chance to bid on the unique items in the auction “Only in Rockland, Experience This!”  All proceeds from the evening benefit Rockland Main Street Inc. Event Admission is $10, Students under 18, $5.
