"Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" the July "Throwback 80's" Event at The Grand

ELLSWORTH, Maine – On Friday, July 26th at 7 pm, The Grand concludes its 80th birthday year of monthly “Throwback 80’s” screenings of beloved eighties movies through its state-of-the-art digital projection system on the Coastal Eye Care giant screen, with one of the most innovative, and loony, detective stories ever made- "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" In this film, Hollywood's animated cartoon stars of the 1940s are a subjugated minority, living in the ghettolike "Toontown." One of Toontown's leading citizens, whacked-out Roger Rabbit, is framed for the murder of human nightclub owner Marvin Acme. Private detective Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins) reluctantly agrees to clear Roger of the accusation. Find out if hardboiled Eddie, certifiable Roger and all of your favorite cartoon characters triumph over evil- and it's only $1 a ticket!
