195th Army Band's Concert Band Free Performance at The Grand on Sunday, July 21st

ELLSWORTH, Maine – On Sunday, July 21st, at 2 pm, The Grand presents, live on the Stanley Subaru Stage, the return of a free, patriotic performance from the renowned 195th Army Band's Concert Band. Admission for this live music event is free. The Ellsworth American is excited to be the media sponsor for this wonderful event.

Experience a group of 30 Army Reserve musicians who come from various backgrounds and hometowns across Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts showcasing a performance repertoire ranging from military marches to significant works for wind band, Broadway medleys, and popular tunes, featuring soloists from within the band and compositions by area composers and arrangers! Anything else... wouldn't be Grand!

The concert band carries on a proud tradition of military bands past and present by presenting free patriotic public performances. The band maintains an active performance schedule as they play around the state at numerous military and civilian functions. Aside from our two-member full-time administrative team, all of the members are part-time Army National Guard soldiers who have other full-time occupations, ranging from teachers and retail business managers to college students, a nurse, a physical therapist, and other occupations. The members all set aside their professional and personal lives for one weekend each month and two weeks in the summer to put on the Army uniform and become Army musicians. Over the years, they have brought their professional military musicality to The Grand for a very special free concert- don't miss their next appearance here on Sunday, July 21st, at 2 pm!
